Softshell pants are awesome, especially when the weather turns wet, cold and windy. It took me some searching to find a pair with the features I needed back in 2010. But eventually I found this pair of softshell pants by T.A.D. (Triple Aught Design). They are loaded with features that have served me well over in Afghanistan, as well as backpacking through the mountains state-side.
Unfortunately… …T.A.D. doesn’t make these pants anymore. But they do make the Vector SC Pants.
And Prometheus Design Werx makes the Odyssey Cargo Pants, which hopefully will come along in a softshell material soon.
These softshell pants have served me well on a number of epic adventures…
