If you are unfamiliar with The Tactical Games, think Crossfit meets 2 Gun Competition. The Games were started by Tim Burke, comprised of highly physical events, coupled with rifle and pistol shooting while wearing kit (body armor, holster, etc.)
My first introduction to the games was in 2018 Fayetteville NC. I went to compete as a sponsored athlete for RECOIL Magazine. I ended up coming in 2nd place in the Elite Division and overall had a great time. RECOIL put out a great video on that event which you can see here.
Mid March 2019 I participated in the Tactical Games at Reveille Peak Ranch in Texas. Overall it was a great experience at a pretty cool facility. This video follows my progress through Day 1 and the first 3 Battles of the games.
I’ll be honest, it was a rough start… I had some serious equipment issues with some borrowed magazines for my STI Staccato – P. Fortunately I bounced back, somewhat, over the rest of the day.
