These days we are spoiled with a huge selection of handguards and rails for our AR-15 / M-4 style of rifles and pistols. One of my favorite rail systems I have used is the SLR Rifleworks SOLO Ultra Lite Handguard.
My favorite feature of this particular hand guard is the lack of a continuous top rail. Frankly, I don’t need it. Not having it allows for me to grip my rifle better and creates one less sharp surface to damage gear and equipment. Being M-LOK compatible, it offers the ability to place any type of accessory at either 3, 6 or 9 o’clock on the rail. Pretty much a win in my book.

Some of the things I appreciate about SLR Rifleworks is their attachment method. Solid lock up, no timing of the barrel nut, no proprietary barrel nut wrench.
