Here we are taking another look at my Alpine Touring Setup by Salomon after about 12 days of riding this season. While I am new to the sport of skiing, I’m having a ton of fun with it.
The Salomon setup I have has been doing great for me. I’ve spent quite a few days on the mountain with it as well as some cross country adventures. The only thing I really had to modify / change out, was getting my boots fit to me and getting some powder baskets for one of my sets of poles.
The other cool aspect of it, has been trying to figure out layers and how best to regulate temperature while skiing as well as riding the lift up the mountain. Both Wild Things Gear as well as Beyond Clothing have served me well in this regard. Usually wearing the Certa K7 Pants and Jacket when the weather is above 25 degrees and the Wild Things High Loft Pants and Jacket when the temps drop below 25 degrees.
I still have a long way to go with skiing, but I’m loving the journey…
