All pants are not made equal. One of my favorite pant designs out there is the Raider Pant by Prometheus Design Werx. For my lifestyle and use, to include hiking, backpacking, trips to the range and all around general adventures, these are the best laid out pants I’ve found.
Unlike a lot of larger companies, PDW makes their products in batches. They will make a run of these Raider Pants for example in a specific cloth. When that run is sold out, they will make another run. So far I have a pair of the Raider Pant in their Guide Cloth (think soft shell), heavy canvas and NYCO+. When looking at their gear, make your purchase based on the type of material you need in your pants for the type of activities you’ll be doing.
