2019 Christmas Special – Shotguns!

Merry Christmas from my family to yours! This is our 2019 Christmas Special, filmed on Christmas Eve. Suffice to say, it was a pretty rad time.

Just in time for Christmas, my oldest son’s Mossberg 500 Bantam 20 gauge arrived, complete with rifled slug barrel as well. When I asked him awhile back what he wanted, he told me a “pump action shotgun.” So here it is. Special thanks to Shooting Surplus for sending it out.

I also received from Henry Rifles, their Single Shot Break Action 12 gauge. It is a beautiful gun. I’ll say though, Jatta is better out of the box with his 20 gauge than I am with this 12 gauge, haha.

As we get more time with these shotguns we’ll bring you full reviews. Until then, have a wonderful holiday and an awesome new year.

  1. Hey Ivan! Thanks so much for all the awesome content and knowledge! I also have a Henry in 45-70. My question is how tight is the lock up on your rifle? The lever on mine seems to pop open very easily, like after I fire a round the lever will pop it self open. If I have a live round in the chamber the lever pops as well. Any idea if this is normal? Thanks again in advance for any info you may have. Merry Christmas!

    1. Hi Keegan, thank you for watching. It is funny you mention that about the 45-70. I haven’t spent that much time with it until recently when I took it on a hike up into the mountains. And now that you mention that, I think I did notice the same thing. I’m going to be spending more time with it in the near future, so we’ll see if it continues.
