And there I was, back at The Tactical Games… If you are unfamiliar with the Tactical Games, the easiest way to think of it is a blending of a Crossfit Competition and a 2 Gun Shooting Competition. A number of physically demanding events with pistol and rifle shooting intermixed.
I went to the 1st Tactical Games, that was open to the public, about a year ago at the same spot. It was at the same facility, TRC (The Range Complex) outside of Fayetteville, North Carolina. Back then it was small, with about 32 competitors. This time around it had close to 150.
Because I like to change things up, and am really out there just to have fun, I rolled out in Retro Gear, circa 1965. Centered around a Brownell’s Retro M16E1 and a 1911A1, I used M-56 web gear, jungle boots, the whole nine yards…
*And a Chase Tactical LVPC (Low Visibility Plate Carrier) to make weight*
This is my experience with the first 3 Battles (Stages) of Day 1.
