If you are going to use a pistol in conjunction with Night Vision, you’ll need the ability to illuminate and target ID as well as aim. Enter the SureFire X400 Vampire, a pistol mounted IR (Infrared) light and IR Laser.
I’ve used the X400 V quite a bit and have been really pleased with it. The bezel of the light makes it very easy to switch back and forth between White Light and IR Light, depending on the task at hand. And the lockout feature is invaluable depending on your use case. The X400 Vampire can even be used on Carbine Rifles and Sub-Guns.
