It is time for a little shade tree science… Recently I decided to do some permanent modifications to my 1989 Trooper. And since I wasn’t going to be needing my back windows, I figured I would do a little exploratory learning.
Shooting through automotive glass isn’t something most people get to practice very often. It creates a huge variable as well, such as where will the bullet go and will the bullet stay together. With this in mind, I shot a number of rounds at extreme angles through the back windows of my vehicle, from both the driver’s seat and passengers seat. I used my Heckler & Koch P7M8 9mm, firing both the G9 Bullets External Hollow Point and the Asym Precision Defensive load with a Barnes 115gr hollow point. Both bullets are constructed of solid copper.
