When it comes to LPVOs (Low Power Variable Optics) there is a lot out there. For the money, it may be hard to beat the Primary Arms SLx 1-6×24 SFP Gen III with ACSS Reticle.
This optic is loaded with a ton of features that makes it close to ideal for a wide variety of shooters. The 1x to 6x range gives you a lot of flexibility and the SFP (Second Focal Plane) reticle keeps things easy to pick up at any magnification. And speaking of the reticle, the ACSS is great in that it can offer a lot of options with built in ranging if you choose to use it, or just simply zero your chevron and go.
