The X-16 is a hybrid rifle based on the AR-15 design, but merging the DI (direct impingement) system with a short stroke piston operating system. This allows for a lot of cross compatibility with existing parts, to include the Superlative Arms Adjustable Gas Block, while also utilizing a piston design.
The result is a great shooting, modular, multi-caliber weapon with some of the best of both worlds. A clean, soft shooting, reliable rifle.
