New Gear for Winter Adventures: Salomon Alpine Touring Setup

At a certain point, if you want to do something, you need to just go all in… So, lets get geared up for some winter adventures!

After my good buddy Bill, of AMTAC Shooting, has been hounding me for the last year or so to learn to ski, so we can go do rad stuff, I took the plunge. With some guidance from some good friends who are accomplished skiers, I got myself a turnkey AT (Alpine Touring) Ski Setup.

The magic in the Alpine Touring equipment seems to largely be in the boots and bindings. They’re basically Transformer Robots, that let you go from a locked in, super stable downhill set up, to a articulated cross country set up. It is pretty cool the technology in them.

Even though I’ve never downhill skied, ever… I’m looking forward to putting in the time and learning. It will open up doors to gain access to places that I otherwise couldn’t make it to in the winter. So many more adventures…
