While I can appreciate the use of multiple layers for some activities, sometimes you just want “a jacket.” Something you can grab while headed out the door that will take care of you no matter what the weather does.
The Floodlight Down Jacket by Outdoor Research has become that jacket for me. Nice and cozy with 800 fill goose down and, arguably more importantly, windproof and waterproof. All of this combines for a great jacket that will keep the weather out.
