Erector 9 Silencer – Q’s New 9mm

If you have been waiting for the Erector 9, a modular 9mm silencer from Q LLC, you may have to wait a little bit longer, but probably not too long.

I sit down with Brian, the engineer who led the Erector 9 Silencer project and he walks me though it. From the challenges faced moving to 9mm from the original Erector 22 as well as some of the nuances in the design.

There is some engineering magic going on here.
All kinds of options…
The baffles can be take apart, cleaned and reassembled with some simple tools.
The male and female ends screw together to create a solid seal and ensure alignment.
If you want, you can shorten the whole silencer down. It will be louder.
Inside, you can see the teeth that interact with each other.
