If you are looking for a pretty affordable optic with some great features, check out the Brownells MPO 5-25×56 Scope…
The Brownells MPO (Match Precision Optic) has some great value built in. It uses Japanese glass which is nice and clear and has very distinct and crisp adjustments for the turrets. While the windage turret is capped, the elevation turret is exposed and easy to adjust. And if you don’t want to dial for elevation and windage, you can use your holds in the N-OMR System (Non-Obscuring Milling Reticle). Lastly, the reticle is illuminated as well.
While the MPO was originally designed with PRS and precision rifle shooting in mind, it is usable for most any discipline. I’ve used the scope on a number of platforms, from a custom bolt action .308 from Sawtooth Rifles, a Knights Armament SR-25 and a Radian Model 1 in 5.56. It does great on most any platform, save the amount of travel in the elevation. If you do not plan appropriately, with a MOA base or rings, you’ll run out of elevation depending on how far you plan to stretch it out.
Overall a pretty solid value for a nice optic offered by Brownells.
