Today I take a look at the ANVRS Mk3 by Unobtanium Gear.
The ANVRS (Active Night Vision Recording System) Mk3 is a mission recorder. It can be attached to a PVS-14, DTNVS, PVS-31 or most any other night vision monocular or goggle. It uses a camera to record a 1080p video image at 30 frames per second. While the battery lasts approximately 6 hours, you can remote a power pack if you need to run it longer.
The unit is great for capturing footage while under NODs. Either for the sake of content creation, or for being able to review footage. Reviewing it for training purposes or capturing it for documentation in a military or police setting. I’ve used it in a number of night vision courses and it continues to do a good job. I do however wish it captured video in 4k.
