For me, insulated water bottles really shine in the winter. Uninsulated water bottles will freeze in short order when the temperature drops. This will keep your water, well, water. It will also keep it warm overnight if you fill it up before going to bed with hot water.
Conversely, it is always nice to have some cold water on a hot day. Even if you leave this in direct sunlight while at the lake or beach, your water will still be cold. The surface of the Summit Water Bottle may be pretty hot though…
