While my boys and I drove a loooong way to go hike up to Panamint City, some things were outside of our control. Our friend who was going to meet us there ended up being 2 hours late. So late that I decided to scratch the trip. I didn’t want to take my boys up there seeing as how they were already pretty worn out after playing in the sun for the last 2 hours. It would have turned into a trail of tears and put us up at the top after sunset.
Fortunately, my oldest found the silver lining. Telling me that he was glad our friend came late, because that way we could just have a different adventure somewhere else. And that we did, exploring the Trona Pinnacles…
