Today I take a first look at some new stuff from Criterion Barrels, Phantom Hill, Die Free Co and Accufire…

I got in a pretty cool upper from my friends over at Criterion Barrels. While it uses a BCM Upper Receiver and BCG, along with my Geissele Mk1 Rail, it has their 11.5″ Core Barrel. A pretty amazing contour for rifle barrels.
And since I need an optic, I have the Accufire Prospectis ASTRO 8. It is a 1st focal plane 1-8 LPVO (low power variable optic) with an illuminated reticle.
And from Phantom Hill I have their pretty cool CTF2. It is a IR (infrared) Laser unit that accepts Surefire pattern light heads with two CR123 batteries. So you can put a BE Meyers KIJI on one side and a white light head on the other. It is pretty clever.
And lastly, my friends over at Die Free Co are getting close to releasing the Gen2 Stone Rifle Grip. This one will be injection molded and have texture on the grip. So lower cost and no more grip tape.
