Part 5 of Franklin Lake

Adventure Log: Franklin Lakes – Part 5

This is the final chapter, Part 5, in the Franklin Lakes Adventure Log. My boys and I pack up camp early in the morning before throwing our backpacks on to head down. We end up crossing some streams and get the opportunity to see some beautiful bucks still in the felt. Overall it was a great backpacking trip. I’m fortunate for the opportunity to share the experience with my two amazing boys.

One of the cool things about hiking up to altitude is that that spring is prolonged. You get to enjoy the wildflowers late in the year…
  1. Fabulous filming and adventure Ivan! We have camped many times at that exact spot above Franklin. My kids grew up on all the trails out of there. Must get to little 5 lakes next time. Gabriel was only 6 when I took him on the Rae lakes loop about 40+ miles so this is very dear to my heart

    1. That is so cool! There are so many places to explore up there. I remember one of the earliest camping trips I went on was to White Chief Lake when I was little. Which eventually was the 1st backpacking trip I took my boys on. Thanks a ton for watching. 🙂
